I think a digital footprint is something that goes on the internet that stays there or gets stuck there. This can effect your future opportunities because if you do something like the woman did in the picture we already saw, it can ruin any future jobs or careers you might want to go in to.

1. A digital footprint is the collection of all the traces a person leaves in electronic environments as you use or move through them. Things that are included in the a digital footprint is what people search and what people post online.

They do not want to hire somebody that parties all of the time or posts inappropriate things. Furthermore, if you are underage and you are doing something illegal, such as drinking, then people will see that and will lose respect for you. As a result, your opportunities in the future will be limited.
